The South Jersey Pontiac Club is an affiliate of the Pontiac Oakland Club International.
History of Our Club
The South Jersey Pontiac Club was originally formed in 1984, as the South Jersey
Trans Am Club, by a group of Firebird enthusiasts. Most of our members drove Trans
Am's, but all Firebird owners with a valid license and clean driving record were
welcomed. The club sponsored car shows and cruises, attended NASCAR events in Pennsylvania
and Delaware, and enjoyed various social outings in addition to helping each other
maintain our cars. As the club developed and grew, other Pontiac owners wanted to
join our organization. We made a decision to expand our membership to include all
types of Pontiac automobiles. The name was changed to South Jersey Pontiacs to reflect
this. In 1998, we received our charter as an affiliate chapter of the Pontiac-Oakland
Club International. We are steadily increasing our membership, and have many different
models of Pontiacs. We have an almost equal number of big cars (B body), mid-size
(A body), and small size (F body) vehicles. A prospective member can be sure that
there is someone in the club that they have something in common with. We are very
interested in meeting other people who are enthusiasts of all Pontiac, Oakland automobiles.
Why not come out to a meeting and see what we are all about? Enjoy some good food,
and good conversation. See our “Club Info” page for info and directions. Please
sign our guest book which can be found on the opening page, or e-mail us from there.
